Food: Mama's Fish House, Hawaii
Every meal in Maui was delicious, but our dinner at Mama's Fish House was unbelieveably amazing. The fish was so fresh that the fisherman who had caught the fish that day was listed alongside their catch on the menu and the vegetables were perfectly ripe and locally grown. Everything we ordered was outstanding and the setting was unparalleled, with windows that open up right onto the restaurant's private beach!
Some standout dishes included the sashimi trio - I particularly loved the black Hawaiian sea salt paired with the Tuna, the heirloom tomato salad, and the amuse bouche - a shot of tomato ginger bisque that was unlike any flavour combination I had ever experienced. And of course, the Mahi Mahi was divine.

Portraits in Paia, Hawaii
I managed to snap a few portraits of my boyfriend's family during the sunset at the gorgeous cove outside of Mama's Fish House in Paia, Maui. The light was beyond stunning and the location was incredible.

Dekalb Market, Brooklyn, Part II
My post yesterday highlighted Dekalb Market as a food fair, but it is actually even more that that, as it is also home to many clothing and jewellery vendors too. The wares varied from intricate neon braided necklaces to vintage bike helmets and hip screenprinted children's clothing. Dekalb is the first place I'll go the next time I need a unique and functional gift.
